JONATHANÂ MEJIA
Journalist. Traveler. Storyteller.
Jonathan Mejia is a bilingual (English and Spanish) journalist. Mejia currently is a News Reporter and Host in Houston, Texas. It’s been an incredible journey, and a true privilege to be on the frontlines of history in such a dynamic and important city. Mejia has covered national stories and report live for Fox stations across the country, as well as national streaming platforms LiveNOW from Fox and FOX Weather.
From covering the New Orleans terrorist attack and deadly severe weather events to breaking a multimillion-dollar surrogacy escrow company scheme that is now under federal investigation, Mejia has strived to uncover the truth and give a voice to those who need it most. Reporting from the U.S.-Mexico border, securing exclusive interviews through his bilingual reporting, and covering heartbreaking stories like the death of 12 year old Jocelyn Nungaray have only deepened his passion for impactful journalism.
Mejia has also embraced digital and social platforms to engage audiences where they are, making sure the stories that matter reach as many people as possible and go beyond linear TV. Covering major national stories in one of the country’s most competitive news markets has sharpened Mejia's skills and is preparing him for his next goal: becoming a network correspondent. ¡Vamos por más!
